The Best Conjure Oils for Money, Love and Protection

In the wonderful world of magic, the possibilities are almost endless. We can work toward prosperity, love, protection, success, healing, reconciliation, luck—and just about anything else we can imagine.

But having so many choices can also make things confusing. What are the best conjure oils for money, love and protection, and how do you know which one is right for what you're trying to accomplish?

For money work, some of my favorites include Money Drawing, Quick Cash, Wealthy Way and King Midas. For love and attraction, there is Love & Attraction, Looking for Love, Irresistible Me and Goddess of Love. And when it comes to protection and clearing work, Fiery Wall of Protection, Evil Eye, Uncrossing and Banishing all have very different purposes.

After making conjure oils for many years, I've learned that there really isn't one best oil for everyone. There is, however, usually a best oil for what you're trying to accomplish.

Before choosing an oil, I always think it's helpful to get specific about the intention behind the work. “I want more money” is certainly a beginning, but “I need additional money quickly to cover an unexpected expense” is a very different intention from “I want to build long-term financial security.”

The more clearly you understand what you want, the easier it becomes to choose an oil that fits the work.

What Is a Conjure Oil?

Conjure oils are intention based spiritual oils used in ritual and magical work. Depending on the tradition, you may also hear them called Hoodoo oils, ritual oils, dressing oils, anointing oils or magick oils.

One reason I love working with oils is their versatility. They can be used to dress candles, anoint petition papers, feed mojo bags, dress charms and ritual objects, or incorporate into altar work. They can be part of an elaborate ritual, but they certainly don't have to be.

Sometimes a candle, a little oil and a very clear intention are more than enough.

How to Choose the Right Conjure Oil

Choosing a conjure oil begins with matching its purpose to your intention.

Choosing a conjure oil begins with your intention, but I don't think that's the only thing that matters. Your intuition matters too.

Start by getting as clear as possible about what you're trying to accomplish. If you want more money, what does that actually mean? Are you trying to bring in money quickly, grow a business, find a better job or create greater financial stability? If you're working on love, are you hoping to meet someone new, strengthen an existing relationship or simply feel more attractive and confident?

The more specific your intention becomes, the easier it is to narrow down your choices.

But once you've done that, pay attention to what you're naturally drawn to.

Sometimes two oils could both make perfect sense for the same situation, yet one simply feels more appropriate. Maybe it's the name, the traditional purpose of the oil, the herbs associated with it or simply a strong feeling that this is the one you should work with. I wouldn't dismiss that.

Intuition has always had a place in magical practice. You don't need to analyze every choice until you've talked yourself out of what initially felt right.

I tend to think of it as a balance: use your intention to narrow the choices, and then allow your intuition to have a voice in the final decision.

And remember, the oil with the most dramatic name isn't necessarily the “strongest” or the best choice. The best conjure oil is usually the one whose purpose most closely matches your intention—and that you genuinely feel connected to using.

With that in mind, let's look at some of the best conjure oils for money, love and protection and, more importantly, when I would choose one over another.

Best Conjure Oils for Money & Prosperity

Conjure oils for money, prosperity, abundance, and financial intention work.

Money work is one of the most enduring forms of practical magic—and for obvious reasons. At some point, almost everyone could use a little more money.

But “more money” can mean many different things. You might be trying to attract new financial opportunities, increase business, find employment, collect money owed to you, pay an unexpected bill or begin building long-term wealth. Those goals are related, but they aren't identical.

This is why I don't think choosing a money oil should begin with asking which one is the strongest. It should begin with asking what you actually need the money work to accomplish.

Money Drawing Oil: A Classic Choice for Money Attraction

If I had to choose one all-around money oil, Money Drawing Oil would be one of my first choices.

The intention is exactly what the name suggests: drawing money and financial opportunities toward you.

I tend to think of Money Drawing as broad rather than tied to one particular source of money. It makes sense when you're looking for new business, hoping to increase sales, seeking better financial opportunities or simply wanting to encourage a stronger flow of money into your life.

It can be used to dress prosperity candles, anoint written petitions, feed a money mojo bag or dress objects associated with your financial goals.

For general money attraction, it's an excellent place to begin. But if the need is more immediate, I would probably choose something else.

Quick Cash Oil: When Money Is Needed Soon

There is a big difference between wanting greater prosperity and needing money for something right now.

That's where Quick Cash Oil comes in.

Maybe an unexpected bill appeared. Maybe someone owes you money. Perhaps you need to make a payment or you're looking for an opportunity to bring in additional income quickly. Quick Cash is designed around that sense of immediacy.

The easiest way I explain the difference is:

• Money Drawing Oil = attract money and financial opportunity.
• Quick Cash = focus the work on a more immediate financial need.

If I'm thinking about a ritual involving a bill, debt, money owed or an unexpected expense, Quick Cash makes much more sense to me than an oil intended for long-term prosperity.

Wealthy Way Oil: Creating a More Prosperous Path

Money work isn't always about needing $500 by Friday. Sometimes you're trying to change the bigger picture—more opportunity, a successful business, greater financial stability or simply a life where money seems to flow a little more easily.

That's where Wealthy Way Oil fits beautifully.

Rather than concentrating on one bill or one particular amount of money, Wealthy Way is intended for broader work involving prosperity, abundance, financial luck and creating a more prosperous path.

I think of the difference this way:

Money Drawing says, “Bring money toward me.”

Wealthy Way says, “Put me on a prosperous path.”

That might mean growing a business, advancing in your career, creating greater financial stability or attracting opportunities that continue to benefit you over time.

King Midas Oil: Wealth, Riches & Financial Success

Then there are times when the intention is unapologetically ambitious.

That's where King Midas Oil comes in.

Inspired by the legendary King Midas and his golden touch, this oil is intended for work centered around wealth, riches and financial success.

King Midas isn't really about having enough to pay this month's bills. It makes more sense for major financial goals, successful business ventures, wealth building and lucrative opportunities.

So while all four oils fall under the larger umbrella of money magic, I think of their intentions like this:

• Money Drawing → attract financial opportunities
• Quick Cash  → address an immediate financial need
• Wealthy Way → cultivate continuing prosperity
• King Midas → focus on wealth and riches

Once you look at them this way, choosing between them becomes much easier.

Best Conjure Oils for Love & Attraction

Love and attraction conjure oils for romance, magnetism, passion, and connection.

Love magic is much more varied than people sometimes realize.

There is new love, romantic attraction, passion, commitment, reconciliation, personal magnetism and self-love. Sometimes the goal is simply becoming more open to meeting the right person.

So before choosing a love oil, I would ask one question:

What kind of love are you actually trying to attract or strengthen?

Love & Attraction Oil: A Versatile Love Oil

For broad romantic work, Love & Attraction Oil is one of my favorite all-around choices.

This is the oil I would consider when the intention involves romance, attraction, affection, passion and connection without being tied to one extremely specific situation.

Maybe you're simply ready for more love in your life. Maybe you want to encourage romance within an existing relationship. Or perhaps you're doing general attraction work without knowing exactly where it will lead.

Sometimes the intention really can be as simple as:

“Bring more love into my life.”

Love & Attraction works naturally with pink or red candle rituals, written petitions, charms and other forms of attraction work.

Looking for Love Oil: When You're Ready for Someone New

Attracting romantic energy and deliberately opening yourself to a new relationship aren't quite the same thing.

That's where Looking for Love Oil becomes a better fit.

I especially like this intention for someone who is single and genuinely ready to meet somebody. Rather than concentrating on one particular person, you can make the work about the qualities you hope to find in a partner and the kind of relationship you actually want.

Maybe you want someone affectionate and loyal. Maybe emotional connection matters most to you. Perhaps you're looking for passion, stability, shared interests, commitment—or all of the above.

I think this kind of love work becomes much more interesting when you stop asking the universe for a person and start getting clear about the relationship you're hoping to create.

The clearer you are about what love means to you, the more personal the ritual becomes.

Irresistible Me Oil: When Attraction Work Is About You

One thing I think people sometimes miss about attraction work is that it doesn't always need to focus on another person. Some of the most interesting attraction work puts the focus right back on you.

Irresistible Me Oil is intended for work involving attraction, charisma, enchantment and personal magnetism.

Instead of asking, “How do I make this person notice me?” the intention becomes, “How do I become more magnetic?”

That's an entirely different kind of work.

Irresistible Me can be incorporated into rituals before dating, social occasions or other situations where you want to focus on attraction, confidence and being noticed. I particularly like this approach because the practitioner remains at the center of the intention.

Goddess of Love Oil: Romance, Passion & Commitment

For a more layered romantic intention, Goddess of Love Oil focuses on romance, passion, commitment and seduction.

This makes it particularly well suited when you're looking for something beyond the initial spark of attraction.

For someone already in a relationship, the intention might be bringing romance or passion back to the forefront. For someone seeking love, Goddess of Love might represent the kind of passionate and committed relationship they hope to find.

Again, the name of the oil matters less than understanding what you're actually asking the work to accomplish.

Best Conjure Oils for Protection & Cleansing

Conjure oils associated with protection, cleansing, uncrossing, and banishing.

Protection has an important place in many magical and spiritual traditions, but I don't think it needs to be reserved for moments when something feels terribly wrong.

Many people perform protection work routinely. You might want to maintain peaceful energy in your home, strengthen personal boundaries, guard against negativity or simply feel more spiritually grounded.

This is also where people tend to lump several different types of magical work together. Protection, cleansing, uncrossing and banishing are related, but they aren't interchangeable.

Understanding the difference can completely change how you approach the work.

Fiery Wall of Protection Oil: Strong Spiritual Protection

For strong, general spiritual protection, Fiery Wall of Protection Oil would be one of my first choices.

The imagery behind a fiery wall is powerful and fairly easy to understand: you're creating a spiritual barrier between yourself and whatever you don't want entering your life or space.

Fiery Wall of Protection can be incorporated into candle rituals, home-protection work, charms, petitions and other practices intended to establish firm spiritual boundaries.

If the intention is essentially, “Keep harmful or negative influences away from me and my home,” Fiery Wall of Protection is an excellent place to begin.

Evil Eye Oil: Jealousy, Envy & Negative Attention

Evil Eye Oil has a more specific purpose.

Belief in the evil eye appears in folk and spiritual traditions throughout many different parts of the world. At its heart is the idea that envy, jealousy, ill wishes or intense negative attention can affect another person.

Evil Eye Oil is intended for protection work involving this kind of negativity. I would consider it when the concern centers around jealousy, gossip, envy, hostile attention or the sense that another person's negative energy is being directed toward you.

It can also be incorporated into spiritual work involving protective charms and amulets.

Uncrossing Oil: When Something Needs to Be Cleared

Protection and uncrossing are closely related, but there is an important difference.

Protection is generally about keeping unwanted influences away. Uncrossing is about clearing an unwanted condition believed to already be present.

If life has felt persistently blocked, heavy or unusually difficult, Uncrossing Oil is traditionally used in spiritual work focused on clearing negativity, removing crossed conditions and creating a fresh beginning.

This is also why some practitioners cleanse or uncross before beginning attraction work.

I've always thought the logic behind that was fairly straightforward: first clear away what you don't want. Then concentrate on drawing in what you do.

Banishing Oil: When You Want Something Gone

Sometimes you don't simply want protection from something.

You want it gone.

That's where Banishing Oil fits.

Banishing work is more active than general protection. Instead of creating a spiritual boundary against an unwanted influence, you're directing the work toward removing it. Depending on the situation and your own spiritual practice, that might involve an unwanted circumstance, influence, energy or habit.

One useful way to think about this entire category of spiritual work is:

Cleanse → remove what doesn't belong → protect the space → attract what you want.

You certainly don't need every step for every situation. But once you understand what each type of work is intended to do, choosing an oil becomes much easier.

Can You Combine Conjure Oils?

Absolutely. In fact, combining oils with compatible intentions can make magical work much more specific.

But—and this is important—using five different oils doesn't automatically make a ritual five times stronger.

I would much rather see someone use two oils that make perfect sense together than six oils chosen simply because they all sound good.

Suppose you're trying to start a business but feel as though opportunities have been repeatedly blocked. You might begin with cleansing or road-opening work and then move into Money Drawing or Wealthy Way.

If you're ready for a new relationship after a particularly difficult period, you might begin with cleansing and then move into Looking for Love or Love & Attraction.

Protection can also be incorporated alongside money, love or success work. What matters is understanding why each oil is there.

I like to reduce it to three simple questions:

• What am I clearing?
• What am I protecting?
• What am I attracting?

You may not need an answer to all three. But if you know exactly what each oil is supposed to contribute to the ritual, you're probably on the right track.

And this is another place where intuition can come into play. Sometimes you'll feel drawn to combine two oils whose intentions naturally complement one another. As long as you understand what each oil is contributing to the work, I think there is room to trust that instinct.

How to Use Conjure Oils

Different magical and spiritual traditions have their own practices, so there is no single method everyone needs to follow.

Conjure and ritual oils are commonly used to:

• dress candles
• anoint petition papers
• feed mojo or charm bags
• dress ritual tools
• anoint meaningful objects
• incorporate into altar work
• dress money or prosperity-related items
• complement prayers, affirmations and intention work

When dressing a candle, you generally only need a small amount of oil.

This is another place where I think simplicity is underrated. Pouring half a bottle of oil onto a candle doesn't make the work more powerful. In fact, it mostly gives you an oily candle.

The intention behind the work matters more.

As you apply the oil, concentrate on what you're trying to accomplish. You might pray, speak your petition aloud, visualize the result you want, repeat an affirmation or work completely silently.

There is no reason to force yourself into someone else's ritual simply because you've been told it's the “right” way to work. Your practice should make sense within your own spiritual or magical tradition—and it should feel meaningful to you.

Finding the Best Conjure Oil for Your Intention

If you're new to conjure oils, don't feel as though you need an elaborate ritual or a dozen different products. Start by getting clear about what you want to accomplish.

For general money work, Money Drawing is a wonderful place to begin. For broad love and attraction work, Love & Attraction is one of my favorites. And for strong spiritual protection, Fiery Wall of Protection is an excellent all-around choice.

But if your intention is more specific, your oil should probably be more specific too. Quick Cash makes more sense for an immediate financial need. Looking for Love is better suited to seeking a new relationship. Uncrossing is appropriate when the goal is clearing rather than protecting.

And when more than one oil seems appropriate, don't be afraid to listen to your intuition.

That's why I don't believe there is one universally “best” conjure oil.

The best conjure oil is the one that most closely matches your intention—and feels right for the work you're doing.
