I found myself in a rigorous 3-day training program that was distressing due to some hard-wired fears. On day 2, I put some on the nape of my neck with a solid intention. It didn't make the training any easier, but it absolutely allowed me to move through the remaining days without distress and to maintain a perspective of challenge rather than of possible defeat.
