In contemporary culture, she has been merged into the Catholic belief system. She is often represented as a skeletal figure and she usually is depicted with a globe and scythe.
She has many names and can be referred to as “Most Powerful Lady,” “The White Lady” and “Beloved Death.” Santa Muerte is traditionally prayed to over a period of nine days. She is represented by many different colors and each color has its own magical intention, please see below.
