Three Love Spells for Conjure, Hoodoo, Wiccan and Pagan Rituals that Work!

After our last spell blog, we received overwhelming requests for more tried-and-true spells from our archives. We dug deep and chose some of our favorite and most reliable spells; some of which have been practiced for centuries! Ancient Love Spells for Conjure, Hoodoo, Wiccan & Pagan Rituals

In today’s blog, we are going to add to your repertoire of spells. The first two spells date back to Ancient Magic of the Mediterranean (Greeks & Romans) and traditional European magic.

For Conjure and Hoodoo lovers, our final spell comes from one of the most esteemed Hoodoo literary authors available to us today; Zora Neale Hurston.

Please keep in mind that although these spells can be found in different magical affiliations, you will see similarities, as the basis is the same. That’s the beauty of magic and history… over time, different systems borrow from each other to create a truly unique approach to manifesting successful spells that actually work. The three spells we bring you today are:

DOMINANCE OVER A LOVER SPELL (Can also be used as a lust spell or a fidelity spell)

DRAGONS BLOOD LOVE SPELL

RETURN TO ME LOVE SPELL

These spells, charms, and rituals come from some of our favorite sources such as The Arcana Mundi, and Zora Neale’s, Mules and Men. They are taken from traditional grimoires or historical manuscripts that are widely accepted in the magical community. However, there are some great contemporary sources that are exceptionally well researched and annotated – we feel it is important to include some of these as well.

Be warned! Some of the spells in this blog are a bit darker in nature. If you find them too disturbing or are concerned with the issue of Karma, please just skip over them; there are plenty of others.

It is also important to let you know that many of these spells have been modified from their original source to make them more adaptable to our modern world. As always, we do include the sources for each spell and ritual. We encourage you to go to the original source if our adaptations do not feel right to you, or if you simply wish to gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. You may want to adjust these for your own spell crafting, and that is perfectly fine as well.

DOMINANCE OVER A LOVER SPELL

You will need the following to perform the dominance over a lover spell:

• A red candle
• A toothpick or new nail
• Parchment paper and pen
• 13 pins
• A spool of white thread
• Fresh flowers
• A nearby graveyard

Get a red candle and carve the name of your love interest into the candle with a toothpick or a new nail. Then, carve your own name directly on top of theirs. You may wish to anoint the candle with some conjure oil, but it is not necessary. Light the candle and let the candle drip until there is a soft pool of wax. You are going to have to repeat this in order to get enough wax to create a wax figure.

Create your wax figure in the form of a person (your target), with your target’s hands placed behind their back as if they are tied. Get your 13 pins. You are going to stick these pins into 13 points on the wax figure and state the following out loud for each body part you stick:

“I pick your body part, name of person to make sure that you think of no one but me, your name.”

I would pick the parts of the body that may make obvious sense to you: Brain (mind), eyes, mouth, throat, heart…etc. You get the picture. Then, take a piece of parchment paper and write the name of your target. Below this, write all 13 statements you made while sticking your wax figure. Wrap this around the wax figure. It’s ok if your pins pierce the paper. Get your white thread and wrap it around the wax figure and petition 65 times.

Head to the graveyard with your fresh flowers and look for a grave of a person who had a short life. Bury the wax figure at the foot of the grave and recite the following:

“Fetch name of target. Make name of target love and desire me because I conjure you, Daemon of the Dead, to make you fetch name of target and make name of target join me head to head, lips to lips, body to body, thighs to thighs. Amen.”

Leave your flowers at the head of the grave. (p.92)

DRAGONS BLOOD LOVE SPELL

You will need the following:

• Coals for burning
• A copper vessel
• Dragons Blood resin

The following spell should be performed on a Friday at midnight during a waxing moon (when the moon phase is turning from a new moon to a full moon). Take burning coals from a hearth fire and place them in a copper vessel. Sprinkle Dragons Blood over them and recite the following:

“Tis not this Dragon’s Blood I mean to burn, but my true love’s heart I wish to turn. May he have no sleep, no rest, nor pleasure see, until he comes back to me. So shall it be!”

TO GET A LOVER TO RETURN TO YOU SPELL

You will need the following:

• 9 red or pink candles
• 3 pieces of paper (either parchment or brown paper bag)
• A toothpick
• Van Van Oil

Get your 9 candles and carve the name of your love target into each candle three times with the toothpick. When this is complete, get your Van Van Oil and put a few drops on the palms of your hands. Then, slowly draw your oiled hands up the candle from the base of the candle to the wick. Speak your intention out loud each time you do this (for example, “target’s name come back to me.”). Then, take your paper and write their name three times. Place each piece of paper under 3 candles.

Then, place these in a clockwise position on your altar or table. The first group of 3 candles and paper should be placed at the 7th hour, the next grouping should be placed at the 9th hour and the final grouping should be placed at the 11th hour. Start with the 7th hour grouping and light the candles. Call out your targets name with your intention. Wait two hours and then light the second grouping. Call out your targets name with your intention. Wait another two hours. Light your last grouping of candles while calling out your target’s name with your intention. Allow the candles to burn out on their own. (p. 276)

For a longer ritual, you can perform this over three days. If you need to put the candles out, do not blow them out, use a candle snuffer or a fire safe dish and smother them so as to not blow away your intentions. On the final day, let all the candles burn out on their own. When the ritual is complete, bury the items near your front door. If this is not feasible, bury the remains in a pot of flowers and keep it near your front door.
